Girls high school lacrosse leagues on Columbus's only indoor turf built for it — fast-paced 5v5 play, real reps, real competition.
NorthStar Lacrosse is an independent program that leases field time at Stars Indoor Sports — it isn't run by Stars staff. For registration, schedule, or payment questions, contact NorthStar directly at NorthstarlacrosseOH@gmail.com. Please don't reach out to the Stars office with lacrosse questions — they won't have your answer.
Three decades on the turf
A short history of how a Columbus club became NorthStar.
Paul Caldwell and Jim Leake founded the club as Columbus Storm.
The club took on the name NorthStar Lacrosse. Over the following three decades, Paul and Jim coached thousands of young women through the sport in Columbus.
Paul and Jim passed the club to Shelley Huffman and Chelsea Conley — both of whom played for them and stayed on to coach after college.
Shelley and Chelsea run NorthStar's high school leagues at Stars Indoor Sports, continuing the program Paul and Jim built.
Game day format
What to expect on the field, and what to leave at home.

Facility rules
- No jewelry. This includes earrings — no exceptions, for any player.
- No cleats. The turf requires flat-bottom, tennis, or sneaker-style shoes only. This is a facility rule and applies to every player.
